Our Team
Our dedicated care management team includes health and human service professionals who work with aging adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers to facilitate an individual’s health and well-being.
Rachael Trussell, Finance and Program Manager
A graduate of Radford University, Rachael began her career serving seniors and their families in a nursing home specializing in Alzheimer’s/Dementia. After returning to Hampton Roads, Rachael worked in an assisted living community for more than eight years before transitioning to human services with Adult Protective Services. With over ten years of experience, she has worked at a local agency specializing in Guardianship/Conservatorship in addition to serving as a Navy Ombudsman. She brings specialized training in crisis intervention; Alzheimer’s and dementia training; mental health First Aid; Trauma Informed Care; hoarding behaviors & techniques; financial exploitation, investigating self-neglect & APS facility investigations.
Carolyn Cain, Care Manager Supervisor
Carolyn is a dedicated professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Regent University. She has gained valuable experience in behavioral health, working with adolescents, as well as providing care to adults with substance abuse disorders through group facilitation and case management services Currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work, Carolyn has completed six months of internship experience in hospice care, where she has developed a deep understanding of providing compassionate, client-centered support during critical times. Her diverse background allows her to approach client care from a holistic perspective, integrating her expertise in mental health, crisis intervention, and end-of-life care.
Voshae Carpenter, Care Manager
Hayden Vedros, Community Liaison and Care Manager
Hayden is a graduate of William & Mary; he is naturally inclined to thorough research and creative problem solving. Hayden is a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads and is enthusiastic to give back to the senior community.
Joann Mancuso, Part-time Care Manager
Ms. Mancuso holds a Master of Science in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), and has over twenty-five years of experience working with the brain injury community in Virginia.
